Privacy policy
Last updated 14 October 2026.
This policy explains what personal data NetixVPN collects, why, and your rights. The short version is our no-logs policy.
1. Who we are
NetixVPN is a trading name of NetixVPN Limited, of [business address]. We are the controller of your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account and billing data: your name, email address, postal address, company name and VAT number if you give them, your orders, invoices and payments.
- Payment data: payments are processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type and last four digits, never your full card number.
- Client area security data: the IP address, date and time when you sign in to the client area or change your account.
- VPN service data: for each device, the name you give it, its WireGuard public key, the private IP addresses it uses inside our network, and, if we generated its keys, its private key, stored encrypted. We also keep each device’s total data uploaded and downloaded and the time it last connected.
- Support data: what you send us in tickets and emails.
3. What we don’t collect
We do not record the websites or services you use through the VPN, your DNS queries, the content of your traffic, the IP address you connect to the VPN from, or a history of when you connect and disconnect. Our VPN servers hold your device’s current public IP address in memory while it is connected, because the WireGuard protocol needs it to send traffic back to you; it is not written to disk or sent to our other systems.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or third-party scripts.
4. Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
- To provide the service you ordered, including billing, device management and support. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To protect your account and our network, for example against fraud, account takeover and abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure service.
- To send you service emails such as invoices, renewal reminders and important changes. Lawful basis: performance of our contract. We only send marketing emails if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with:
- payment providers, to take and refund payments;
- companies that host our servers and email, which process data only on our instructions;
- professional advisers such as accountants, where needed;
- authorities, where the law requires us to. We can only provide the data described in section 2.
6. International transfers
Some of our suppliers and VPN servers are outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected as UK law requires, for example by using countries the UK considers adequate or the UK’s approved contract clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Devices: until you remove them, or until your VPN account is deleted.
- Your VPN account: deleted when your plan ends after you cancel, or about a month after an unpaid renewal was due.
- Billing records: six years, as UK tax law requires.
- Client area security data and support tickets: for as long as your account is open, then up to two years.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption, access controls and up-to-date systems. Device private keys we store are encrypted, and API access to our systems is restricted to the systems that need it.
9. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Children
NetixVPN is for adults. You must be 18 or over to open an account.
11. Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Our client area and checkout use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in, remember your basket and protect forms against forgery. They are not used for tracking or advertising.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect.
