About NetixVPN
What does a VPN do?
A VPN encrypts the connection between your device and our server, then sends your traffic on to the internet from there. Your internet provider, and anyone else on the same Wi-Fi, can’t see which sites you visit, and the sites you visit see our server’s IP address instead of yours.
Who runs NetixVPN?
NetixVPN is run by NetixVPN Limited, a business based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us from the contact page.
Do you have your own apps?
Not yet: NetixVPN apps are on the way. Until then you connect with the official WireGuard app, which is free, open source and made by the people who created WireGuard. It’s available for Windows, macOS, iPhone, iPad, Android and Linux, and the setup guide walks you through it.
Privacy
Do you keep logs?
We keep no activity logs: no record of the sites you visit, your DNS lookups, the IP address you connect from, or a history of when you connect and disconnect (we keep only each device’s last connection time). We do keep what we need to run your account, such as your email address and billing history. Our no-logs policy lists all of it.
Can you see what I do online?
Your traffic is encrypted between your device and our server. From there it goes to the internet like any other connection, so a website that uses HTTPS (almost all of them) stays encrypted all the way. We don’t inspect, record or sell your traffic.
What if someone asks you for my data?
We follow UK law, so we answer valid legal requests. We can only hand over the data our no-logs policy lists, such as your account, billing and device details. We can’t say which sites you visited or where you connected from, because we don’t record it.
Using NetixVPN
How many devices can I use?
Personal plans cover 10 devices connected at the same time. Teams plans give each user 3 devices. Removing an old device frees its slot straight away.
Can I switch between locations?
Yes. Each device has one key that works at every location. In your client area, pick a location and download its file or scan its QR code; switching doesn’t use another device slot. See the locations we have.
Will a VPN slow my connection down?
A little, as with any VPN, because your traffic takes a detour through our server. WireGuard keeps that overhead small. Picking the location closest to you is usually fastest.
Does it work with streaming services?
We don’t promise that any particular streaming service works through NetixVPN. Many of them block VPN addresses, and that changes often.
Is there a kill switch?
Yes, through the WireGuard app and your device’s own settings: “Block untunneled traffic” on Windows, always-on VPN on Android, and on-demand connections on Apple devices. The setup guide shows where to find each one.
Can I use it on my router?
Yes, if your router can run WireGuard, as routers with OpenWrt or GL.iNet travel routers can. Import the file from your client area; the router counts as one device and protects everything behind it.
Why won’t it connect on some networks?
WireGuard uses UDP, and a few networks, such as some offices, hotels and schools, block it. If you can connect on one network but not another, that’s usually why.
Billing
Does the price go up when I renew?
No. You renew at the price you signed up at, for as long as you keep your plan. We don’t do introductory prices that jump later.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, from your client area. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and nothing renews after that.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If NetixVPN isn’t for you, open a support ticket within 30 days of your first order and we’ll refund it in full. The details are in our refund policy.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes. The price you see is the price you pay.
Is there a free trial?
We don’t have a free plan or trial. Instead every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. Teams can add users from the client area at any time and pay only for the rest of the current billing period. To switch to a different billing period or plan, contact us and we’ll move you over.
